A global leader in polymeric repair composites and industrial protective coatings since 1952, Belzona manufactures and designs materials to solve maintenance issues and protect equipment and structures from erosion, corrosion, wear and chemical attack.
Excessive licensing costs, outdated systems
Belzona was using Oracle e-Business suite to control all operational, stock, financial and Human Resources throughout their UK Headquarters. Belzona started looking for alternative solutions due to excessive licensing costs and the need for a more functional and technologically rich system including reporting and integration options, as well as the ability to deploy a ‘vanilla’ system’ without major bespoke developments.
Streamlined workflows, accurate production planning, scheduling and inventory control
Inixion configured Sage X3, an ERP system suited to chemical manufacturers, for use by Belzona companies. Electronic signature management was included along with standard Sage X3 workflow features, visual process functionality and a specific set of interactive workflow process maps. The project included Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) functionality and an online ‘Distributor Portal’ was delivered using out-of-the-box Sage X3 functionality, allowing Belzona to easily communicate with, sell to and manage their distributors.
Project delivered on time and to budget within 5 months
Inixion implemented the project on time, to budget and to scope within 5 months from order to go live. A seamless changeover from the old Oracle e-Business suite system to Sage X3 was reported by all departments.
