Moving from Sage 50, 200, 300, 500 or 1000

FAQs

I’m on Sage 50/100/1000/200, and I’d like to move to Sage X3. Would this be classed as an upgrade/migration or a new implementation?2024-01-16T12:23:36+00:00

Moving from another Sage product, such as Sage 50/100/200/1000, means you would need a new implementation. It would be classed as a new ERP system.

All Sage solutions, including some of the older products, are quite different in how they are structured and deployed. Sage X3 is similar in this respect but we have had extensive experience with assisting customers with the move to Sage X3, irrespective of their incumbent system.

What are the benefits of ‘staying on Sage’?2023-09-06T13:05:53+00:00

Bearing in mind that, as noted above, all Sage solutions, including some of the older products, are quite different in how they are structured and deployed, it could be said there is no specific advantage to ‘staying on Sage’. However, Sage is keen to ensure there is a pathway for customers from an older product to Sage X3 and we can, on behalf of the customer, discuss with Sage some key benefits which can include:

  • Maintaining a historical archive 
  • Promotional incentives 
  • Continual usage of some external complementary tools such as Sage Enterprise Intelligence (SEI)

Note that these are considered by Sage on a case-by-case basis.
