Employee Spotlight | Anna Furio – Support Consultant

Our people are central to the ‘Inixion Difference’, and we’re particularly proud of our 100% project success rate in 2006.

This month we’re putting Anna Furio in the spotlight. Anna joined us last year as a support consultant. We asked Anna about her role and her views on Inixion.

You’ve been with Inixion for just over 8 months now. What originally attracted you to Inixion?

What initially drew me to Inixion was the strong impression I got during the interview process. From my very first conversation with David McCallum, Inixion’s support manager, I was struck by how genuinely and positively he spoke about the company. He shared insights into the team culture, describing it as being “like a family,”, something that really stood out to me.

What I appreciated most was the transparency. David was very open about the expectations of the consultant role and how the business operates, while also highlighting the supportive and collaborative nature of the team. In my second interview with both David and Ian Bromley, Inixion’s Managing Director, I heard the same consistent message, which only reinforced my initial impression; it spoke volumes about the integrity of the leadership and the authenticity of the culture.

Since joining, I’ve found all of that to be absolutely true. Inixion has a candid, professional and genuinely supportive environment, and I’m both confident and excited that this is the right place to continue growing my career.

How did you ‘get into’ Sage X3?

I first became involved with Sage X3 during my time at Sage, where the system had recently been implemented internally to manage financial transactions, reporting and month-end close processes. At that point, I was completely new to Sage X3, so I began learning the system from the ground up. Over time, as my experience and confidence with the platform grew, I naturally transitioned into a more supportive role, eventually delivering training sessions to colleagues across the business.

As I gained a deeper understanding of the system, I also identified opportunities to enhance how we communicated and shared knowledge internally. This led me to initiate and develop a community focused on continuous learning and collaboration. We launched monthly newsletters, delivered regular training sessions and hosted forums to gather feedback and suggestions for improvements or customisations.

That experience really sparked my interest in Sage X3, not only from a functional perspective but also in terms of the value it can bring to teams when supported by strong communication and engagement.

What do you think are the hardest parts of your job?

While I truly enjoy the dynamic nature of my role and the opportunity to work closely with customers, there are certainly some challenges that come with it. One of the more difficult aspects can be coordinating availability for Teams calls. Our customers often work across various time zones and may be navigating particularly busy business periods, such as month-end processes or annual leave schedules. As a result, finding a mutually convenient time can occasionally be tricky.

What do you like best about working at Inixion?

What I value most about working at Inixion is the company culture. It’s a truly supportive and professional environment where collaboration and mutual respect are at the core of how we operate. From day one, I’ve felt welcomed and encouraged by both colleagues and management, and that level of support really makes a meaningful difference.

Knowing that I can reach out to anyone in the team for guidance or insight creates a strong sense of belonging and shared purpose.

What does a typical day at Inixion look like for you?

A typical day at Inixion begins with a catch-up meeting alongside the Support and Development teams. These daily sessions are a great opportunity to align on current priorities, share updates on customer support calls and highlight any potential risks or areas where we might need additional input. It sets a clear focus for the day ahead and ensures we’re all working collaboratively.

Following the meeting, I begin working on the support cases assigned to me. This often involves providing tailored advice to customers and, when appropriate, scheduling meetings to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they’re experiencing within Sage X3.

Much of my day is spent investigating and replicating issues in test environments, which allows me to fully understand the root cause before proposing a solution. There’s also a strong emphasis on cross-team collaboration, whether it’s working with other consultants, the development team, or stakeholders across the business, which helps us deliver well-rounded and efficient support.

At the end of the day, I like to take a few moments to create a list of priorities for the following day.

What do you think makes Inixion stand out from its competitors?

What really sets Inixion apart is our genuine commitment to our customers. While it might sound like a common phrase, in our case it truly holds weight – many of our customers have been with us for over a decade, which is a strong reflection of the trust and long-term relationships we’ve built.

From my first day at Inixion, it was clear that we provide a consistently high standard of support. We’re known for being reliable and proactive. Our team doesn’t just wait for issues to arise; we aim to address our customer needs before they become problems.

Internally, we have strong communication channels, which enable us to collaborate effectively and respond quickly. This level of teamwork ensures that the service we provide is not only efficient but also tailored to each customer’s specific context.

Overall, I believe it’s this combination of dedication, reliability, proactive support and strong internal collaboration that truly makes Inixion stand out.
