Inixion was the first partner globally to sign up for the Charter for Change, Sage Foundation’s Partner Program, at this year’s Sage Summit.
The Sage Foundation Partner Program was launched to enable Sage Partners to work alongside Sage in fundraising for the target of raising $2 million for local charities by 2022, as well as giving back by volunteering.
By signing up Inixion has committed to fundraising for its chosen charity, Marlow Opportunity Playgroup and Inixion’s employee-nominated charity, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. Our first fundraising activity as part of the Sage Foundation, was a 5K Fun Run at Sage Summit in Orlando in March this year. It raised £2787.50 in donations, which was split equally amongst both charities, a great way to start the fundraising target.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic putting a halt to a number of planned fundraising activities for 2020, Inixion has committed to support both Marlow Opportunity Playgroup and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices in 2021 as well.
Says Jane Gibbons, Manager of Marlow Opportunity Playgroup:
“We are delighted that Marlow Opportunity Playgroup was chosen as one of your recipient charities of your latest fundraising efforts. The money raised will most definitely make a difference to the service we are able to offer our children.
Marlow Opportunity Playgroup provides a unique educational and therapy setting for pre-school children with additional needs. We have an amazing staff team who work 1:1 with the children to enable them to access activities, fulfil their therapy aims and most importantly have a great time!
To provide such a high level of staffing, we have to raise £90,000 each year through in-house fundraising, grants and donations such as yours. This is always an immense task and particularly so under the very difficult times we find ourselves in currently.
We are extremely grateful for your efforts and the rewards will be seen in the smiling faces of our children when we can get back to some kind of ‘normal’ in the hopefully not too distant future.”
Anne Carey, Head of Corporate Engagement at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said;
“We’re delighted to be supported by Inixion during 2020 and thrilled that the team have decided to continue to support Shooting Star Children’s Hospices throughout 2021. Your support helps us to continue to make every moment count for families faced with the devastating diagnosis that their child is not expected to live past their 19th birthday. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. The demand for our care service is forever increasing and right now, with the coronavirus pandemic increasing the strain on the NHS, our hospices have never been more vital. Throughout the pandemic we’ve continued to provide vital end-of-life and respite care, as well as step-down care to help vulnerable children leave the hospital earlier and symptom management stays where we can carefully trial different medications to improve a child’s symptoms.
As a charity, we are dependent on the support and generosity of our community, but COVID-19 has had an undeniable impact on our ability to fundraise. Thank you for your continuing support, and we look forward to working together to support more families over the next 18 months.”
Joanne Bromley, Director at Inixion, said:
“Inixion has been a long-time supporter of local charities and the Sage Foundation Partner Program was a natural extension to our desire to enable us to support charities that mean something to our employees.
The Sage Foundation Partner Program allows the Inixion team to work together with Sage, its Partners and Customers worldwide to raise money for causes that are important to us.
Inixion has selected two charities to support for 2020-21 – both of which have personal connections to members of our team.”
Not only is Inixion committed to fundraising for its chosen charities, the Inixion management will also allow their employees to use two working days per annum for volunteering opportunities.
As a company, we are looking forward to making a change for our chosen charities and local charities across the country wherever our employees choose to use their volunteering time.
