A week of glorious sunshine and temperatures touching nearly 100 degrees Fahrenheit followed the Inixion team from the north of Michigan to the south of Texas, to the east in New York and west to Minneapolis, to visit a few of our customers in North America.
As a Sage X3 partner based in the UK and North America/Canada, Inixion serves a diverse range of global customers. Our recent visit to North American sites provided us with valuable insights and opportunities to connect with our North American clients on a more personal level.
The ‘Inixion Customer Tour’ brought three key members of our senior management team on an exciting journey across the USA. Greg Hackney, our Director, Andrew Cairns – Operations Director, and Ian Bromley – Managing Director, travelled to six different states in just six days, exploring a variety of customer sites along the way.
“Getting face to face with customers is extremely important to us, hence why we feel it is important for us to invest time for our senior team in travelling around the USA to discuss our customer’s plans and strategic direction, and how Inixion and Sage X3 can support these plans,” said Ian Bromley, Managing Director.
Andrew Cairns, Operations Director, said “It is essential that in supporting our customers Sage X3 systems we are ingrained in their technical and operational teams. Visiting customer sites and meeting key individuals is vital to underline our partnership and allow us to plan the next steps in rolling out various products with our customers”.
While on the tour, the Inixion team had the opportunity to connect with the Sage team in Atlanta. Inixion’s partnerships with Sage UK and Sage North America enable us to provide support to customers with a worldwide presence.
Greg Hackney, Director said, “Inixion’s role as a partner with Sage both in the USA and UK is pivotal in enabling us to provide support to our customers wherever they are around the globe, and meeting face to face with the team at Sage in Atlanta allows us to build on the key relationships that we have with the team”.
During the customer tour, Inixion saw businesses that produce a diverse range of products, including:
- Life-saving respiratory solutions used to protect the lives of soldiers and firefighters
- Medicines and chemicals manufactured for the pharmaceutical and agricultural industries
- Portable restrooms and trailers
- Surface preparation, safety and environmental control equipment
Sage UK and USA partner for manufacturers and distributors
Sage X3, supported by Inixion, serves as the cornerstone for companies engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of these products, offering seamless integration of procurement, inventory, and financial management.
Inixion collaborates with Sage’s North American team to assist clients based in the USA, and with Sage UK for clients headquartered in the UK with operations in North America. These strategic partnerships with Sage guarantee that Inixion can deliver tailored support to businesses spanning across both sides of the Atlantic.
The Inixion Difference – Partnership
The concept of partnership was reiterated throughout the tour, as customers expressed their belief in the strong partnership they share with Inixion. This mutual collaboration allows the Inixion team to seamlessly integrate and become an essential part of the customers’ team.
John Babcock, CEO of Satellite Industries said “Working with a UK Sage X3 partner has turned out to be a real asset. Having a non-USA centric partner has really opened up the possibilities with us to ensure that our Sage X3 system is a truly global system”.
Matt Molumby, COO of Allredi LLC explained one of the advantages of working with Inixion; ‘With Inixion being UK based, they are often working on our issues while we are asleep, so when we wake up in the morning, our solutions are already implemented in the system.’
Transformative and progressive Sage X3 add-ons
Strategic planning with our customers is crucial to ensuring a smooth delivery of Sage X3 projects. During the week-long visit to our North American customers, the Inixion team discussed migration projects, patching projects, integrations with 3rd party systems and EDI networks as well as training programmes, not forgetting the new features that Sage has added to the Sage X3 product, such as Mobile Automation. Mobile Automation allows inventory and manufacturing transactions to be processed through handheld scanners via a modern and secure HTML5 interface. The Automated Test Platform product allows fully automatic scripted testing of the Sage X3 application enabling customers to test much quicker and deeper with fewer resources. The Artificial Intelligence functionality that is being built into Sage X3 via the Sage CoPilot AI engine which will ultimately allow Sage X3 to intelligently automate various mundane and repetitive tasks as well as giving users a better insight into the data that resides in their systems.
Conclusion
Summarising the trip, Ian Bromley said ‘Whilst these trips require a large financial and time investment, you cannot put a price on face-to-face partnership building. We would like to thank all our customers and the team at Sage for the warm welcome that we received from everyone, and for taking the time to meet with us. One of the highlights was exploring our customers’ manufacturing and distribution facilities to witness their businesses in action and the support provided by Sage X3. And a big thank you to North America for the amazing weather throughout our entire trip!’
