Our people are central to the ‘Inixion Difference’ and we’re particularly proud of the fact that we have had zero employee attrition since our inception.
This month we’re putting Jon Clarke in the spotlight. Jon joined us this year as a Sage X3 consultant. We asked Jon about his role and his views on Inixion.
You’ve been with Inixion for around 6 months now. What originally attracted you to Inixion?
Having left my previous role, I was thrilled to be offered a chance to join the team, as I was familiar with the business and some of the team. I had really admired the culture that Ian (Inixion Managing Director) and the team had fostered and couldn’t wait to be a part of it. Being able to work from home while having the opportunity to travel to visit customers on site has been great, giving me the chance to spend more time with my family as well as offering a great deal of variety.
How did you ‘get into’ Sage X3?
The company I worked for previously made the decision to implement Sage X3 in 2015. I became the project lead in mid-2016, continuing the system roll out to additional group companies and managing other projects, including a full re-implementation, for the next 8 years.
One thing I love about Sage X3 is that there is always more to learn. It is such a big system that there are always new features to discover and different ways to configure it. Working out how to use all that flexibility to solve new challenges has been something I am keen to continue with.
What do you think are the hardest parts of your job?
The hardest part is also the part I enjoy the most, which is the variety. Jumping between different customers can be challenging but incredibly rewarding. I really enjoy being able to get involved and learn new businesses, meeting new people and helping them solve the challenges they are facing in their own roles.
What do you like best about working at Inixion?
I have always enjoyed being involved in different projects and now I get to do that full time. Working at Inixion means I can meet new, interesting people and get involved in helping with the challenges they face in their own businesses each and every day. Being able to come away from a customer visit feeling like I have made a difference to someone is incredibly fulfilling.
As a bonus, the team here at Inixion are great. Being able to work with such a fantastic group of people, who are all so friendly and knowledgeable, is a real pleasure.
What does a typical day at Inixion look like for you?
One of the things I love about working at Inixion is that there is no such thing as a typical day. Every day brings new challenges and problems to solve. One day, I might be onsite with a customer delivering training, and the next, working from home to solve customer challenges.
What do you think makes Inixion stand out from its competitors?
Being a smaller team of people means that Inixion staff can develop really strong relationships with customers, offering consistently great service. The team at Inixion really care about what is happening in each and every customer’s business. They have a real interest in how customers operate and are constantly thinking about how they can help overcome the challenges they face. Their genuine passion for Sage X3 and helping customers make the most of the ERP is one of the things that drew me to Inixion in the first place.
