As the debate over working from home versus returning to the office continues, we wanted to share how Inixion’s remote work policy has helped us hire experienced Sage X3 talent.
About our company, Inixion
Ian Bromley, our Managing Director and founder, started Inixion in 2006. From the very beginning, Inixion has been all about one thing: delivering and implementing the Sage X3 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. We’ve grown into a fantastic team of 23, bringing together over 250 years of combined experience in Sage’s flagship ERP system!
Our company has grown over time. David Spindler, our Senior Consultant and Product Manager, was actually the first person brought on board. Ian already knew David from their time working together at a previous company, and David joined us all those years ago with an already impressive six years of Sage X3 experience under his belt.
Forward thinking and ahead of our time, in 2006 Inixion was created to be a remote working company
From that small start many more talented employees were employed. However, our home-based approach brought us the advantage of hiring based on talent and Sage X3 experience, even if our team was scattered across the UK. Initially, we had staff based in Buckinghamshire, West Sussex, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and Lancashire, and now we’ve grown to include team members in Wales and Scotland too! Since our goal was to bring in the best talent, having a physical office just didn’t make sense. That’s why, right from the start, all of us at Inixion have been happily working from home.
It’s about trust and accountability
One of the common concerns about working from home is that it might affect productivity. But here at Inixion, we believe in empowering our employees to be accountable for their roles and responsibilities, giving them autonomy ensures they achieve the results we aim for. Trust is a big part of remote work, and we have faith in our team to deliver what’s needed, and what’s more it’s worked well for us to date.
The Inixion family – it sounds like a clique and it is, but it’s true!
At Inixion, we’re not just looking for individuals; we’re welcoming new members into our family. We often refer to ourselves as the ‘Inixion family’ because we’re all part of one big, supportive team. This spirit shines through in our teamwork, the fun banter during our Teams calls, the genuine care we have for each other, and our eagerness to lend a hand across different teams. We also make sure to have two ‘company meetings’ per year, where we all come together to hear department updates and business targets and mix this with a bit of pleasure as well – cocktail hour is never dull!
Seems a bit sweet, right? But it’s true! We bring that same spirit to our customers, teaming up with them every step of the way.
Zero failed ERP implementations
Bringing the right people on board and empowering them with responsibility, along with a strong sense of teamwork, has led to our flawless track record with Sage X3 implementations. While we follow a standardised implementation methodology, we understand that every business and ERP system is unique. Our team excels at navigating these differences, using their expertise to guide our customers smoothly through their implementation journey. We’re very proud of our zero failed implementations to date!!
Zero employee attrition
Since we started back in 2006, not a SINGLE person from our Operations and Support teams has left us (except for those who retired). We see this as a testament to our hiring approach and the splendid way we encourage teamwork and collaboration internally!
This has helped us to win customers; when employees from a potential customer fondly recall our team members they collaborated with years back, who are still part of the Inixion family today. And who could ever forget David Spindler’s legendary jelly babies that he always brings to his customer training sessions? Once seen, well remembered 😊

People advocating for a return to the office argue that face-to-face interactions foster creativity, enhance collaboration and strengthen company culture in ways that are difficult to achieve remotely. While this may have elements of truth, times have changed, and our business has all these lovely attributes and more working remotely.
We’ve had amazing success by hiring Sage X3 talent right where they are, instead of just where we are. Yes, it can be a bit tricky to find the perfect fit, but with a little persistence, we’ve managed to build a fabulous team!
If you are looking for a Sage X3 solution then come and talk to a team with over 250 years of experience with zero failed implementations. What’s not to like?
