Inixion are pleased to announce today that SIL Holdings have selected Sage ERP X3 and Inixion to enable upgrading, process improvements, consolidation and visibility of their systems.
The SIL Holdings Group comprises of more than 25 businesses divided into 7 divisions. With many based around Bradford in West Yorkshire, they work closely to continue to build Textile Excellence and a common desire to deliver on this promise.
The SIL Holdings Group
Whilst the Group has a core promise of Textile Excellence, each business is independently managed and operated in order that it can be agile and responsive, delivering for its customers in the most appropriate way for them.
From Fibre to Fabric
SIL businesses span almost every stage of the conversion of natural animal fibre into finished cloth and operate in more than 60 countries.
The Requirement:
Buy/Sell/Make/Ship:
All aspects of purchasing, selling/trading and processing, Fibres, Yarn and Fabric from processing of raw materials through to finished fibres, yarn and fully woven fabrics must be accommodated.
Brand integrity AND Intercompany trading:
Products at all stages are sold between group companies and further processed. The Group have customers throughout the world ranging from traders, individual and bespoke tailors through to high end fashion companies. The SIL Holdings Group includes brands recognised the world over as leaders in their fields, and businesses that can trace their heritage back to the late 1700’s; each must operate, where required, in their own way and continue to present themselves to customers and suppliers as the known brand.
Group Integration, Consolidation & multi-currency:
Following many years of trading and acquisitions of a number of organisations, the group is operating on a number of disparate accounting and operational systems with very limited integration. In addition, trading in many currencies and reporting in both GBP and USD brings its own challenges.
The Journey to Sage ERP X3 and Inixion:
The SIL Holdings Group embarked on a tightly managed formal Invitation to Tender process to select their new corporate system and partner. This began with a vendor conference on site at their Bradford headquarters to which a number of prospective vendors were invited – all attending the same sessions on the same day!
Following initial submissions SIL shortlisted two vendors to provide a detailed workshop presentation based on business scenarios prepared by SIL. These scenarios covered the key system requirements and the resulting presentations provided SIL with an accurate overview of what the prospective system would offer them going forward, insight into how the implementation would be managed and the future relationship with the selected partner.
SIL selected Sage ERP X3 to be implemented and supported by certified Sage Partner Inixion.
“With Sage ERP X3, we are confident we have made the right decision as a group and are very much looking forward to working with Inixion and having a new robust system to move our business forward.”
Jayne Woodthorpe, Group Financial Director, SIL Holdings Ltd.
